Brazos Fasteners is a growing family-owned fastener distributor in the Brazosport area.
We need ambitious and hardworking individuals. Our workers pride themselves on their speed and accuracy. Although knowledge of fasteners is a plus, on the job training is the norm for the right applicant.
Warehouse Worker/Stocker Job duties:
- Filling packing requests from inventoried materials
- Receiving and stocking supply items properly
- Completing job tasks in an efficient manner and time stressed deadlines
- Keeping the facility clean and safe
- Communicate with Brazos Fasteners staff and customers in a profession manner daily
Local Driver Job duties:
- Safely operate vehicles
- Load truck for delivers and pick ups
- Efficiently deliver and pick up in approximately 50 miles radius of Brazos Fasteners
- Unload truck upon returning to Brazos Fasteners
- Communicate with Brazos Fasteners staff, customers and vendors in a profession manner daily
- Completing job tasks in an efficient manner and time stressed deadlines
- Keep the vehicle clean and safe
Qualifications:
- Shift is 8am to noon and 1 to 5pm, Monday through Friday, full time
- Must have dependable transportation to and from work
- Ability to stoop and bend regularly
- Ability to repetitively lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds regularly, and less frequently, lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push or pull objects on carts or pallets that weigh up to 550 pounds
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to work in an efficient and dependable manner
- Ability to work in extreme hot or cold weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and retain information
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to be approved for a TWIC card for Plant Entrance
- Ability to pass contractor safety for Plant Entrance
- Good driving record, CDL is a plus, but not required
- Large truck driver experience is a plus
