Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy and support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This position involves working closely with clients to implement treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, assisting with daily living activities (ADLs), and collecting data to track progress. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavior management techniques and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments
- Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors
- Collect and record data on client progress, behavior changes, and skill acquisition
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and uphold HIPAA compliance in all interactions
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles and practices, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a supportive environment
- Understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and care plan development
- Previous experience in data collection related to behavioral health is an asset
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
