Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus
Role & Department: Culinary Aide in the Culinary Services Department
Hours & Shift: Per diem, Day Shift Position, primarily 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver food to patients/residents
- Will train for multiple positions to fit the needs of the department
- Assist patients/residents make meal choices according to their diets
- Provide basic diet order education and guidance on appropriate food choices based on patient therapeutic diet order
- Utilize software to place meal orders
- Assemble meal trays for delivery
- Stock kitchen & kitchenettes within the facility and rotating goods in the kitchenettes with snacks and nourishments
- Ensure diet and texture are correct prior to serving
- Coordinate with nursing staff to meet patient/resident needs
- Basic cleaning and sanitizing work areas
Qualifications:
- Basic nutritional knowledge is preferred, but not essential
- Good computer skills are required
- Prior food service work experience is preferred, but not essential
- This position requires a lot of walking and the ability to bend and kneel.
