Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Support residents with medication administration following prescribed guidelines and safety protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and meal preparation
- Implement behavior management strategies for residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities
- Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injuries during transfers or mobility assistance
Qualifications
- Prior assisted living or long-term care experience is highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia care
- Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Ability to operate standard passenger cars for transportation needs
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in a home or community setting
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
