Sweet 'N Sultry Studio is looking for an energetic, reliable, and experienced Pole Instructor to join our team in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
NYC residents only. Due to the nature of this position, we are only considering applicants who live within New York City. We are looking for someone who can reliably commute to our Brooklyn studio for weekday morning classes and occasional training, meetings, and substitute opportunities.
We are currently hiring for weekday morning Intro to Pole classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
This position will begin with one morning per week. As you become comfortable with our curriculum and demonstrate consistency, reliability, and strong teaching skills, you'll have the opportunity to add additional classes and grow within the studio.
Our Intro to Pole program is part of our structured curriculum, so training is required before teaching independently. We are looking for someone who enjoys teaching beginners, creates a welcoming environment, and understands that building confidence in foundational moves is just as important as teaching pole tricks.
What You'll Do
- Teach Intro to Pole classes using Sweet 'N Sultry Studio's curriculum
- Take required instructor training before and after leading classes independently
- Create a supportive, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere for every student
- Demonstrate proper technique while prioritizing safety and injury prevention
- Break down movements in a way that's easy for beginners to understand
- Arrive prepared, organized, and on time for every class
- Provide positive feedback and help students progress at their own pace
- Maintain a clean and safe studio environment
- Attend occasional staff meetings and training sessions
- Assist with studio events or substitute classes when available
- Help promote classes through social media
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Previous pole instruction experience preferred
- Strong pole fundamentals and technique
- Comfortable teaching and motivating beginners
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and organized
- Positive attitude with a team-player mindset
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not required
- Must be willing to learn and teach our curriculum exactly as designed

Position starts with one morning class per week, with opportunities to add additional classes based on performance, availability, and studio needs.
Physical Requirements
This is an active role requiring strength, endurance, flexibility, and the ability to demonstrate pole movements while coaching students. Instructors should be able to stand for extended periods, lift and support their own body weight, squat, bend, climb, and safely demonstrate techniques throughout class.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

- As part of our onboarding process, we ask potential instructors to take a few Intro to Pole classes with our instructors. Even if you’re an experienced pole dancer or instructor, it’s helpful to revisit the beginner experience. Some instructors instinctively jump into advanced moves, unintentionally skipping over foundational skills that are essential for new students. These classes will also help you get familiar with our studio’s teaching approach and ensure alignment with our methods as well as meet other team members. (These training classes are free)
- Keeping our studio clean and hygienic for our staff and students is a priority for us. Would you be comfortable with light cleaning and disinfecting between your classes?
