CNC Mill and Lathe Machinists to join their team.

$30+/hr., depending upon experience and open for discussion
This position can be either Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire, depending upon experience and skills.
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support production machining on both CNC vertical mills and CNC lathes.
- Perform full setup and operation of CNC mills (vertical mills) and lathes.
- Run jobs on Haas CNC machines (or similar controls) and make adjustments as needed for quality and efficiency.
- Edit programs at the machine and perform some programming as required
- Machine parts from bar stock, including operations such as cutting, drilling, tapping, boring, turning, and milling.
- Interpret blueprints/engineering drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Maintain consistent quality while holding tight tolerances.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, etc. to verify conformance to specs.
- Select and align cutting tools, fixtures, soft jaws, and other workholding; identify substitute tooling when needed.
- Monitor machining operations to detect tool wear, out-of-tolerance conditions, or machine issues; make corrections and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Complete job documentation (setup sheets, inspection results, job travelers, etc.) per company process.
- Perform minor maintenance and support preventive maintenance efforts; keep the machine area clean and safe
- 3+ years CNC machining experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Demonstrated ability to run both CNC mills and CNC lathes with full setup capability.
- Experience with Haas machines/controls required (or very similar CNC controls with the ability to cross-train quickly).
- Ability to machine to tight tolerances and verify results using precision inspection tools.
- Prototype / short-run machining background
- Experience machining bar stock and performing cut/tap/drill operations.
- Experience working with exotic materials (ex: titanium) strongly preferred.
- Solid blueprint reading skills - including GD&T - and strong shop math
- Ability to communicate effectively and troubleshoot machining/process issues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks required in a machining environment
