We are seeking a proactive Safety Specialist to champion a culture of safety and compliance. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing safety protocols, conducting thorough inspections, and delivering comprehensive training programs. Your expertise in OSHA regulations and safety standards will contribute to a secure and compliant work environment for all.
- Spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive safety audits and inspections to proactively identify potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Deliver engaging and informative training sessions and provide resources to empower employees with essential safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Lead thorough investigations of accidents and incidents, meticulously documenting findings and recommending effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate closely with management to cultivate a safety-conscious culture throughout the organization, promoting proactive hazard identification and risk mitigation.
- Maintain meticulous records of all safety-related incidents, training sessions, and inspection findings to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and evolving safety regulations, proactively updating policies and procedures to maintain ongoing compliance and promote best practices.
- Proven experience in a safety coordinator or similar role, demonstrating a track record of success in promoting workplace safety.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Proficiency in Workplace Safety & EHS Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST).
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10).
