Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare settings such as Level II Trauma Centers, Emergency Medicine, and Hospital Medicine.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with meal preparation and medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings
Skills
- Experience in healthcare settings like Clinics, Operating Rooms (OR), or Outpatient facilities is beneficial
- Knowledge of caring for patients in specialized units such as Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) or Medical-Surgical wards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment typical of a Teaching Hospital
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals requiring care
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
