We are seeking an experienced A&P mechanic to join our growing general aviation maintenance operation.
This position combines two primary responsibilities: overhauling Lycoming and Continental aircraft engines and maintaining a fleet of flight training aircraft. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing precision engine work while also supporting the day-to-day maintenance needs of a busy flight school.
Responsibilities
- Overhaul Lycoming and Continental aircraft engines
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
- Complete 100-hour and annual inspections
- Diagnose and repair aircraft discrepancies
- Remove and install aircraft engines
- Troubleshoot engine, airframe, fuel, electrical, and ignition systems
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logbook entries
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop
Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required
- Experience with Lycoming and/or Continental engines preferred
- Experience maintaining Cessna 150 and 172 aircraft preferred
- Rotax experience is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail
