Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status and note changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organization
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers and mobility
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient needs
- May have to work around residents' pets or help with small task regarding pets
Requirements
- Experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care or hospice is a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- All training required will be provided
