Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pizza Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in the food industry, particularly in pizza making and kitchen operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality pizza and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional food service. Prior experience in dietary departments or fine dining is a plus, as is familiarity with menu planning, food safety standards, and catering services.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards
- Handle food preparation tasks including dough stretching, topping assembly, and baking
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and quality
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, and prep stations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service during busy hours
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of pizza and related dishes
- Uphold high standards of presentation, taste, and consistency for all menu items
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is not required but preferred
- Experience working in a culinary or kitchen environment within the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is advantageous
- Skills in menu planning, food safety protocols, and catering are desirable
- Fine dining or culinary experience that demonstrates attention to detail and quality standards is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are essential for this role
