Position Summary
This is a working Laborer / Boom Truck Driver position. Employees are expected to perform general marine construction labor while safely operating a boom truck to transport materials and equipment. This is not an operator-only position.
Responsibilities
- Operate a boom truck safely and perform pre-trip inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
- Load, transport, and unload materials and equipment.
- Perform general marine construction labor, including carpentry, rigging, material handling, and job site cleanup.
- Follow work orders and assist with dock, pier, and shoreline construction.
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow all company safety policies.
- Report equipment issues to the Foreman or Supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with crew members and assist with training as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred
- Massachusetts Hoisting License (2A and/or 1C).
- NCCCO Certification.
- Construction, marine construction, or heavy equipment experience.
