Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Forklift Operator (Stand-Up/Sit-Down) to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate sit-down and stand-up types of forklifts and material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport goods within our distribution center. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely movement of inventory, supporting seamless warehouse operations. Duties
- Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, and barcode scanning equipment for logistics purposes
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols
- Perform inventory management tasks such as order picking, stock replenishment, and cycle counting using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring accurate order picking
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal forklift performance
- Follow manual handling procedures for heavy lifting and materials handling to prevent injuries
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly stacking pallets, managing materials handling equipment, and adhering to safety standards in production
Skills
- Proven experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, pallet jacks, and lift trucks in a warehouse setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes such as order picking, load & unload operations, shipping & receiving protocols
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and forklift safety standards in production environments
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and warehouse supervisors
- Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment operation
