Continuous Improvement Manager – Lean Six Sigma Engineer
Salado, TX (on-site) · Full-time
Above Average Base + Performance Bonus — total earning potential $200,000+
Own the transformation.
Are you a Lean Six Sigma leader who's tired of recommending improvements and watching them stall? At Ecopool, you'll own the production system end to end. We build premium modular steel pools, demand is growing fast, and we're looking for a hands-on Continuous Improvement Manager to drive our plant to world-class efficiency — with the authority, the resources, and the upside to match.
This is a rare build-it-from-the-ground-up opportunity: your standard work, your value stream, your kaizen culture, your scoreboard. If you want your fingerprints on every process in the building, this is the seat.
About Ecopool
Ecopool manufactures premium patented modular steel pools from our own proprietary steel components in Salado, Texas. We're a growing manufacturer scaling production to meet strong demand — and investing in operational excellence and a brand-new facility to get there. You'll join at the inflection point, where the systems you build define how the company scales.
What you'll own
You'll lead the entire production operation across all 8–10 manufacturing phases — cut, fabrication and welding, blast and paint, plumbing, membrane, water test, and make-ready — and drive measurable, sustained gains in throughput, labor efficiency, and quality.
- Lead the lean transformation — run time studies, build standard work, and balance the line so every station flows at takt with no waiting and no bottlenecks.
- Drive throughput and cost — increase completed pools per week and lower labor cost per unit through flow and productivity, applying Lean, Six Sigma, kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping.
- Build the material flow — line-side kitting and replenishment so operators always have what they need at the station.
- Stand up a daily management system — visual boards, daily huddles, and live metrics so performance is visible and bottlenecks surface fast.
- Develop the team — set clear standards, coach to them, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement on the floor.
- Own quality at the source — built-in quality so defects are caught where they happen, never passed downstream.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years leading continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or plant operations in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Lean Six Sigma expertise — Green or Black Belt preferred. You've personally run time studies, written standard work, balanced lines to takt, and led kaizen events with measurable results.
- Experience in fabrication-plus-assembly manufacturing — metal fab, welding, modular/prefab, RV/trailer, boat building, or similar mixed-material builds is a strong plus.
- A documented track record of reducing labor cost and increasing throughput — in real numbers.
- The instinct to fix flow and raise output per person, not simply add people.
- A floor-first leader who'd rather be at the workstations with a stopwatch than behind a desk.
Why you'll want this role
- Real ownership. You build the system — standard work, metrics, kaizen culture — with the authority to make it stick.
- Compensation that grows with your impact. Your base salary climbs as you scale plant volume, on top of a quarterly bonus that rewards the throughput, efficiency, and quality gains you deliver.
- A growing company at an inflection point — premium product, strong demand, a new facility, and the chance to define how it all scales.
Compensation & benefits
- Base salary: Above Average to start and increasing as production scales.
- Performance bonus: up to $100,000+/year, tied to throughput, labor efficiency, on-time delivery, and quality.
- Total earning potential: $200,000+.
- Benefits: Medical insurance, PTO, and product discounts.
