Position Summary
The Construction Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and coordinating the hiring of skilled trades and field employees to support the company's operational needs. This position will partner closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, and ensure positions are filled with qualified candidates in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and experienced in recruiting for construction, or skilled trade industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for hourly and salaried field positions.
- Source qualified candidates through online job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking, trade schools, and industry events.
- Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
- Conduct phone screenings and initial interviews.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community recruiting opportunities.
- Develop relationships with vocational schools, trade organizations, and workforce development agencies.
- Maintain applicant tracking records and recruiting metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and equal employment opportunity requirements.
- Perform other recruiting and HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in construction, or skilled trades.
- Experience recruiting hourly field employees.
- Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices.
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (experience with BambooHR preferred).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction recruiting experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience recruiting through social media and digital recruiting platforms.

Salary: Starting at $75,000
