Accounting Manager
Van Cafe is a Fort Collins based manufacturing organization that is uniquely positioned in the Camper Van and RV industry. We describe our organization as a full life cycle manufacturing company. We have the infrastructure and processes to run a product from idea inception through to warehouse fulfillment, in a scalable manufacturing process. This process guides the product through a series of steps throughout the organization, and promotes team work and cross department collaboration. The Accounting team is integral to the whole process. We have a robust ERP to fully capture and document the process from Bill of Materials and costing to replenishment and materials sourcing and acquisition. We also use project management software to document the work flow of the process.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations for the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly in inventory and manufacturing settings. This key role is essential in maintaining our full life cycle manufacturing model, managing accounting processes from inception to fulfillment using our robust ERP system.Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and HR administration.
- Oversee financial operations across multiple business entities, ensuring accurate monthly P&L generation and reporting to leadership.
- Handle inventory costing and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
- Execute payroll processing and provide HR support.
- Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Utilize software platforms such as Asana, Katana ERP, QuickBooks, and Avalara to streamline operations.
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with small business or manufacturing accounting exposure.
- Proficiency in ERP software and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Roles:
- Management of the purchasing, and receiving team.
- Financial oversight of all business activities and entities.
- Monthly P&L generation and presentation to the leadership team.
- Sales tax compliance, including home rule and reconciliation for multiple entities.
- Journal entry and intercompany journal entry management.
- Process documentation, budget generation, and auditing for all business entities.
- HR management and compliance.
Business Functions and Revenue Streams:
- E-commerce website – Van Cafe & Propex North America.
- Retail Showroom - Mountain Time Campers.
- Service Department - Mountain Time Campers.
- Distribution of goods manufactured under our own internal brand.
- Distribution of retail and wholesale heaters under Propex North America.
- Management of two real estate locations for business operations.

Additional Requirements:
- Ideal candidate should have experience in a majority of the following areas:
- Management-level written and verbal skills with exemplary leadership qualities.
- 8 years of accounting experience, ideally within inventory and manufacturing contexts.
- Experience working with leadership teams on financial projections and analysis.
- Proven ability to establish budgets and manage payroll-related journal entries.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Ability to work up to an 8-hour shift in an office environment
- Ability to work where there is noise exposure and occasional distractions
- Ability to work, either sitting or standing, at a computer for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to communicate via voice (phone) and email

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
