Position Summary
AGN is seeking a compassionate and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support youth with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges within our residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have experienced trauma and will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective behavioral interventions that promote healing, safety, and long-term success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral assessments and functional behavior analyses.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Analyze behavioral data and modify interventions as needed.
- Provide consultation and coaching to residential staff regarding behavior management strategies.
- Assist with behavioral assessments required for residential placement and treatment planning.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Support development of individualized service plans and discharge planning.
- Provide recommendations regarding level of care and behavioral support needs.
- Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation planning.
- Train staff on evidence-based behavioral interventions and trauma-informed approaches.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, educators, caregivers, and other service providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ethical, licensing, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications Required:
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and trauma-informed care practices.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass Level II Background Screening and all applicable licensing requirements.
Preferred:
- Experience working in residential treatment, therapeutic group homes, foster care, child welfare, juvenile justice, or behavioral health settings.
- Experience supporting youth with trauma histories, emotional dysregulation, aggressive behaviors, self-harm behaviors, and placement instability.
- Familiarity with Medicaid-funded services and Florida child welfare systems.
Work Location
Primarily in-person at our residential campus in Bradenton, Florida, with limited remote work available for documentation and consultation activities.
