Job Location : Meadville, PA office; Charlotte, NC office
Job Duties:
Development of drawings/schematic designs for site layout, process flow diagrams, and controls systems for energy/renewable energy projects at industrial, commercial, institutional and government facilities
Perform engineering calculations for design of energy systems for various facilities, under supervision and guidance of senior engineer
Development of engineering cost estimates and life-cycle cost analyses for CHP and district heating projects, under supervision and guidance of senior engineer
Conduct energy audits of industrial processes and commercial operations at existing facilities and evaluate and recommend energy efficiency improvements
Writing of reports summarizing designs and analyses, writing of grant applications for clients
Development of presentations for project managers and clients
Requirements:
0-3 years experience is envisioned, but other levels of experience will be considered
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering from ABET accredited school
EIT certification or PE is a plus, but not required
A high level of proficiency with drafting software is required
Working knowledge of electrical generation and distribution
Must be willing to perform a wide array of project development tasks and activities including:
Writing of reports and memos
System design
Development of drawings and specifications
Cost estimation
Project scheduling
