JOB SUMMARY: Maintain clean and sanitary equipment and the environment in and around the restaurant.

Participate in kitchen cleaning work, such as washing, cleaning equipment, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in and around the restaurant.

Assist with prepping of produce and vegetables; mixing and blending of ingredients.

Assist in packing away and retrieving stock as per standard operating procedures.

Follow proper food handling guidelines and all the local Health Department policies and procedures.

Proactively communicate any supplies that are running low to the Kitchen Manager.

Follow established restaurant policies and procedures.
-
Any other duties that may be assigned.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

A current NYC Food Handler Permit/ServSafe Food Handler Permit

Manages time effectively - understands and follows written and verbal directions explicitly and asks questions for clarity when necessary.

Must be able to work standing for extended hours.

Must be able to move about in close quarters, handle the heat, and handle fast work pace for extended hours.

Must be able to remain calm and cool under pressure

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Cover hair at all times

Wear the proper uniform at all times

Ensure that nails are kept short and clean - no nail polish

Exhibit good hygiene at all times

Wear full shoes at all times - No slippers
