Senior Electrical Engineer – Mission Critical/Data Centers

We’re supporting a leading engineering consultancy in the search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on large-scale hyperscale and enterprise data center projects across the US.
This role will focus on the design and delivery of mission critical electrical infrastructure for facilities ranging from 10MW to 500MW+.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design for mission critical/data center projects
- Design MV/LV power systems, UPS topologies (2N, 2N+1), generator systems, switchgear and critical distribution
- Produce single-line diagrams, grounding, lighting and power distribution designs
- Perform load flow, short circuit, arc flash and coordination studies
- Support commissioning, integrated systems testing and construction administration
- Coordinate with utilities, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE and Uptime Institute standards
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical QA/QC
Requirements
- PE License required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Strong mission critical/data center experience preferred
- Experience with MV systems, ATS/generator paralleling and critical power infrastructure
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP and SKM PowerTools (or similar)
- Strong understanding of Uptime Tier standards and mission critical best practices
Preferred
- Hyperscale campus experience (100MW+)
- Experience on large-scale projects ($50M+)
- RCDD, LEED AP, CEM or Uptime certifications advantageous
