About Us
Rocky Mount Radiator & A/C is a trusted name in radiator repair, re-coring, and automotive/heavy-duty cooling system services. We've built our reputation on quality workmanship and reliable customer relationships, and we're looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative to help us grow our customer base and strengthen existing partnerships.
Position Overview
We're seeking a motivated, self-managed sales professional to drive new business development and manage relationships with our established accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives with autonomy, enjoys building relationships face-to-face, and is comfortable owning their territory from prospecting to close.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage an efficient sales route to maximize face time with prospects and existing customers
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the local and regional market, including fleet operators, repair shops, dealerships, agricultural and industrial accounts, and other potential commercial customers
- Schedule and conduct in-person sales meetings and site visits
- Maintain and grow relationships with established accounts, ensuring consistent communication and service satisfaction
- Understand customer needs and match them with our radiator repair, re-coring, and A/C service offerings
- Track leads, appointments, and account activity to keep the sales pipeline organized and up to date
- Represent Rocky Mount Radiator & A/C professionally in the field, acting as the face of the company to customers and prospects
- Collaborate with internal teams (shop, service, and management) to ensure smooth handoff of new business and accurate turnaround expectations
- Stay informed on local market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth
What We're Looking For
- Self-starter who can manage their own schedule, territory, and time with minimal supervision
- Proven outside sales experience preferred; automotive, fleet, industrial, or related B2B sales experience a strong plus
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable with cold outreach, networking, and building a pipeline from scratch
- Well-organized, with the ability to plan efficient routes and manage multiple accounts
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Basic mechanical/automotive knowledge helpful, but not required — willingness to learn our services is a must
- Strong communication skills, both in person and via phone/email
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
