JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team, fulfilling sales orders for our customer, and monitoring the intake of parts and equipment and the proper disposition of parts. This role provides hands-on guidance and work direction to Warehouse Assistants to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency across receiving, shipping, and inventory functions.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides day-to-day work direction, training, and guidance to Warehouse Assistants; does not have formal hiring/termination authority.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support a safe work environment, practicing safe working techniques and compliance to safety programs; coach team members on safe practices.

Ensure products meet or exceed quality and performance standards, improve efficiency within processes and procedures and continually improve through the use of Lean tools.

Assign and prioritize daily tasks among Warehouse Assistants to meet shipping and receiving deadlines.

Receiving and loading UPS / FedEx.

Receiving and loading freight shipments.

Verifying accuracy of orders. Prepping orders for shipping, boxing and palletizing.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.

Safely operate warehouse equipment, use certain equipment only if certified.

Facilitate and document the fulfillment of sales orders.

Maintain accurate inventory, report out when required, and lead cycle counts.

Train new Warehouse Assistants on processes, procedures, and equipment use.

Process paperwork as required.

Assist with inventory, warehouse and delivery preparations.

Complete assigned tasks within scheduling deadlines and monitor team progress against deadlines.

Identify and recommend efficiency improvements; serve as first point of contact for day-to-day issues, escalating to the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.

Operate as a team player and help to unify the team.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities)

High School Degree / GED

2+ years of professional work experience, inventory and warehouse experience required.

Prior experience providing work direction or informal leadership to others preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work within an inventory system or willingness to learn.

Operate within the corporate policy guidelines and business practices.

Results oriented and demonstrated strong sense of urgency.

Excellent communication skills, written/verbal with internal and external contacts.

Proven ability to be organized, detailed, multi-tasker, critical thinker, accurate, thorough and a problem-solver.

Ability to adapt to change in the workplace or assignment of duties.

Forklift experience required, or willingness and ability to complete forklift training and certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by Team Members to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. Required to frequently sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
The Team Member is occasionally required to lift and/or move 50 pounds, sit; stoop, bend and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to safely use ladders while performing warehouse duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a warehouse setting with a technical / repair lab, shipping and receiving area and equipment set-up and reconditioning environment. This role routinely may use standard electronic / mechanical testing equipment, hand lifts and forklifts, and hand tools. Ability to safely operate an electric pallet jack. Will use office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, etc.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, occasional overtime required.
