Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician - III to join our manufacturing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of complex automation systems, including industrial robotic systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of automated equipment, supporting lean manufacturing practices and compliance with CGMP standards. The ideal candidate will possess advanced mechanical, electrical, and control systems knowledge, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support troubleshooting during process downtime
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair control system hardware
- Perform routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance
- Assist in the development of maintenance procedures
- Support control system equipment installations
- Assist in managing control system hardware inventory
Requires Experince:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Computers, Engineering, or a relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of eight (8) years of automated/process control system experience required
- May consider a High School Diploma (GED) with twelve (12) years of automated/process control system required
- Proficient in supporting and maintaining process control systems required
- Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Food, Cosmetic, Beverage or relevant industries preferred
- Flexible to work overtime and/or different shifts as business needs dictate required
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required
- Proficient at troubleshooting (systematic problem solving) automated/IT system issues, including interfaces and hardware components required
- Proficient in one or more of the following: PLC (Rockwell, Siemens), HMI, PCS/DCS (DeltaV, iFix), Historian (OSI PI, iBatch), SCADA systems, MES (Syncade, PAS-X), MS SQL required
- Proficient at troubleshooting PLC programming required
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
