Assistant Director of Nursing - Home Health
Job Description
- Assists in planning, direction and delivery of professional services to home care patients.
- Provides leadership to clinical staff.
- Participates in the admission, certification, and discharge of patients.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Evaluates staffing and supervision needs to ensure staffing pattern is adequate for caseload during all hours of operation.
- Fulfills additional responsibilities when assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to lead interdisciplinary home care team. Current license to practice as RN in Indiana. Baccalaureate degree in nursing or related field preferred. Minimum of two years clinical experience. Prefer prior home care clinical (1 year) and prior supervisory/management experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead change.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides direction, coordination, supervision, and implementation of clinical services to home care patients in a safe, cost-effective manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to: bend, twist, extensive sitting; push/pull 150 lbs.; lift/carry 50 lbs.; Visual and hearing sufficient to communicate effectively with staff and customers. Ability to deal effectively with stress and time management.
