Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Tool & Die Maintainer to oversee the daily upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of our progressive dies and tooling. The ideal candidate will demonstrate hands-on expertise with metal forming, punch press operations, and precision machining, while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact-
Construct, repair, and maintain progressive dies to meet exact design specifications.

Adjust existing tooling to accommodate customer modifications and production shifts.

Sharpen and perform necessary repairs on progressive dies to ensure peak performance.

Identify and resolve press and die malfunctions to minimize production downtime.

Execute changeovers for various tooling configurations.

Analyze blueprints, CAD files, and technical manuals to guide your work.

Machine necessary die components to support production needs.
-
Prepare and install die components for active production runs.

Operate tool room machinery safely, including drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.

Assemble and fit tools and dies to ensure smooth operation and precise contours.

Examine tools and dies for defects or dimensional inaccuracies to maintain high output quality.

Perform test cycles on finished tools and dies to verify functionality.

Utilize precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers.
-
Adhere to all organizational safety protocols and quality standards.

Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment for the entire team.

Complete additional tasks as requested by management.
Professional Requirements-
Proficiency in the safe and effective use of standard tool room equipment.

Comprehensive understanding of progressive die maintenance, repair, and construction.

Practical background in metal forming and punch press operations.

Proven ability to diagnose and fix press and die-related issues.

Competence in interpreting complex CAD drawings and blueprints.

Skilled in using precision measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.

Education & Experience-
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Five years of relevant training or experience is preferred, or a comparable mix of both.

TMA certification or an equivalent credential is highly valued.

Background in stamping, tool and die maintenance, or progressive dies is a significant advantage.
Communication Skills-
Ability to interpret safety guidelines, manuals, and maintenance instructions.

Mathematical Skills-
