Now Hiring: Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavator – Utility Focus)
We are looking for a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with extensive excavator experience to join our team. This position is ideal for a seasoned operator who takes pride in safe, efficient, and precise work, especially in utility environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating excavators for underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm, electrical, etc.)
- Trenching around existing utilities with a strong focus on safety and accuracy
- Working closely with foremen and pipelayers to maintain grade and production goals
- Loading trucks, backfilling, and fine grading as needed
- Assisting with site prep, cut/fill, and other earthwork tasks
- Performing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience
- Strong excavator experience in utility work (tight spaces, around live utilities, trench work)
- Mass earthwork/site development experience is a strong plus (cut/fill, slopes, rough and fine grading)
- Ability to read plans, understand grades, and work with lasers/GPS is a plus
- Proven track record of working safely and productively in a team environment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
