Responsibilities
- Organize, file, and maintain legal documents and case files using document management systems such as iManage and other case management software.
- Perform data entry tasks with precision to ensure all records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Assist in legal research and discovery processes by retrieving relevant documents and verifying information accuracy.
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports with attention to detail and adherence to legal terminology.
- Handle confidential information with integrity, ensuring compliance with privacy policies and data protection standards.
- Support the legal team by managing incoming requests for records, responding professionally to client inquiries, and facilitating effective communication.
- Maintain organized filing systems both electronically and physically, ensuring quick retrieval of documents when needed.
Skills
- Strong analysis skills to review documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Paralegal experience or law office experience is highly desirable for understanding legal procedures and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation, data management, and communication.
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure error-free legal drafting and correspondence.
- Experience with case management software such as iManage or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of document management systems used within law firms or corporate legal departments.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple files efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly with high ethical standards.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting clear reports and client correspondence.
- Technical proficiency in word processing, data entry, and legal research tools.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and internal teams.
