Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a school district in Costa Mesa and Irvine, CA who is seeking an experienced Credentialed School Nurse for an assignment serving junior high and adult transition students. This position supports multiple school clinic sites and requires a nurse who is comfortable working independently while collaborating with educational teams to promote student health and wellness.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with prior school-based experience who is passionate about supporting students and ensuring a safe learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing services and health support within school clinic settings
- Assess student health needs and respond appropriately to illness and injury
- Administer medications and treatments as authorized
- Maintain accurate student health records and documentation
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, families, and community providers
- Monitor and manage student health plans and medical accommodations
- Ensure compliance with state and district health regulations
- Support health education and preventive care initiatives
Qualifications:
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- California School Nurse Credential (Fully Credentialed School Nurse)
- Previous school nursing experience
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Preferred experience working with junior high and transition-age student populations
- Ability to travel between assigned school sites preferred

- Location: Irvine & Costa Mesa, CA area
- Schedule: 32.5 hours per week | Hours: 6.5 hours per day, Monday–Friday
- Assignment Dates: July 1, 2026 through October 30, 2026
