Accounting Manager (Part-Time)
Triangle Grading & Paving, Inc. is a family-owned civil construction company that has served our community for over 40 years. We are looking to hire a part-time Accounting Manager to join our accounting team and take ownership of key accounting functions, such as reconciliations, month- and year-end clos e, and intercompany accounting. The Accounting Manager will serve as a trusted partner to company leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting day-to-day operations. This role offers a flexible daytime Monday-Friday schedule that will be developed to meet both the company’s needs and the selected candidate’s availability.
Responsibilities:
· Support CFO/Controller
· Manage month-end and year-end close processes
· Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements
· Prepare prepaid and accrual schedules
· Prepare Work-in-progress schedule, including scheduling and facilitating monthly job cost review meetings
· Manage equipment payments
· Supervise and assist accounting office staff, including AP and AR
· Crosstrain with HR to assist in payroll (as needed)
· Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
· Assist in managing related party accounting
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent
· 5-10 years of related experience (depending on field and/or complexity)
· Supervisory experience required
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Knowledge of US GAAP
· Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
· Active CPA license (compensation will commensurate)
· Construction accounting experience
· Experience with Foundation Software
· Experience with QuickBooks Desktop
