We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician, Facilities, to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our building infrastructure and equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, electrical work techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to maintain optimal climate control within the facility.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and general maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
- Maintain building interior by performing maintenance painting, carpentry repairs, and facilities upkeep to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
- Lead or assist with maintenance projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), or electrical equipment repair as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service to internal teams.
Requirements
Required: Valid HVAC Certification.
Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building repairs, or a related field.
Hands-on knowledge of custodial standards and specialized floor care techniques.
Valid Driver’s License with a reliable transportation record.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred: Experience in a school, campus, or institutional setting.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and building interior maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical equipment repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC systems including troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, bending, crawling in tight spaces, and standing for extended periods.
