Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza toppings and creative recipes to enhance offerings
- Maintain proper knife skills for efficient and precise food preparation
- Support food service operations by assembling orders quickly and accurately for dine-in or takeout customers
- Manage food preparation tasks, including ingredient portioning, dough stretching, topping application, and baking
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting with a focus on food preparation and cooking
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and fine dining experience is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented attitude
