Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group academic, behavioral, and social assistance to students as guided by teachers and staff
- Support students in classroom routines, transitions, and activities throughout the school day
- Implement positive behavior strategies and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and supervision to ensure a safe, inclusive environment
- Maintain professionalism while fostering respect and engagement among students
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- TB test in accordance with district guidelines
- Physically able to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance when necessary
- Valid, up-to-date clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in schools, child care, special education, or behavioral health
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Positive orientation to teamwork, patience, and reliability
- CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are a plus, but not required
