Physical Therapy Aide / Administrative Assistant – Full-Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:10 AM – 4:30 PM
A busy private medical practice is seeking a reliable and experienced Physical Therapy Aide/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position involves both direct patient care and administrative responsibilities. You’ll assist our Chiropractic Physician (DC) in providing high-quality physical therapy services and help support office operations two days per week.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, full-time role ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, and enjoys working with people in both clinical and administrative settings. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and engaging with patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Assist the Chiropractor with administering therapeutic exercises and operating modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, vasopneumatic compression).
- Instruct, motivate, and monitor patients during prescribed exercise routines to ensure proper technique and posture.
- Maintain cleanliness by wiping down therapy equipment and preparing treatment areas before and after use.
- Observe and report patient responses and progress to the physician.
- Support smooth clinic flow by managing time and ensuring patients are seen promptly.
- Maintain a safe and organized environment by restocking supplies and laundering towels weekly.
Administrative Duties:
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist patients during check-in and check-out.
- Verify insurance details and assist with basic billing and documentation processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and help organize office files.
- Perform light office upkeep and ensure front desk areas remain welcoming and tidy.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a physical therapy aide, rehab technician, or in a similar patient care role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical setting.
- Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods throughout the day.
- Familiarity with basic administrative duties and medical office procedures preferred.
