Your Responsibilities:
As our custodian, you’ll help keep our center clean, safe, and ready for learning by:
- Cleaning and preparing classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen, and offices
- Emptying trash and keeping all areas clutter-free
- Sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors regularly
- Disinfecting bathrooms and kitchen areas
- Restocking supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Maintaining cleanliness in the outdoor play yard and front entrance
- Performing additional cleaning duties as assigned by the Director
What We’re Looking For:
- Willing to travel to the Jamaica, Queens 11433 area
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
- A strong sense of pride in keeping environments clean and safe
- Able to lift/move moderate weights and use cleaning equipment safely
