Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cabinet Installer/Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and finishing custom cabinets and woodworking projects that meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your expertise in carpentry, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools will be essential in transforming design plans into beautiful, functional cabinetry for residential and commercial spaces. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately build and install cabinets and related woodwork.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools, power tools, woodworking machines, and fabrication equipment.
- Install cabinets, fixtures, doors, trim, siding, and other woodwork on-site with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards including power tool safety protocols and proper handling of construction materials.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while managing materials such as wood construction materials, rebar for framing or masonry as needed for restoration projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects within specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, equipment, and materials regularly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry, woodworking or residential carpentry.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, woodworking machines, CNC machinery (if applicable), and metal stud framing.
- Strong knowledge of construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with cabinet installation or fixture installation in residential or commercial settings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on construction sites or during fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards including power tool safety practices.
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines such as drywall finishing (plastering), flooring installation (tile laying), electrical experience or plumbing is a plus but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship; ability to adapt to changing project needs.
