The Construction Maintenance Technician is a Full-Time Non-Exempt position. The Construction Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. This position may require flexibility in the hours worked to meet the needs of the Planning and Operations Department, and may change depending on the building use/activities planned. Typical hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend hours may be necessary to support continuous business operations and/or building function support.
This position requires the performance of managerial, primarily skilled, and some unskilled work associated with the development, repair, and maintenance of all internal construction projects with the Urbana Park District. The incumbent assists with the annual construction work plan and functions of construction maintenance, carpentry, painting, concrete work, and installations. The Technician assists with the implementation of the ADA Transition Plan in construction projects.
