We are an upscale wine, beer, and spirits store currently looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working, and friendly candidate to join our team as a Part Time Sales Associate. We focus on offering a unique selection of fine wine, craft beer, and artisanal spirits. We strive to build a welcoming and educational environment for both our customers and our staff.
Responsibilities include -
- Providing superior customer service to our patrons in a polite and knowledgeable fashion
- Cashier duties (including proficient operation of our POS system and accurate money handling)
- Maintaining a sales floor presence and awareness
- General stocking and inventory duties
- General cleaning, organizing, and upkeep of the store and displays
- Handling any customer service issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Gathering products and inspecting orders for accuracy when fulfilling pick-up and delivery orders
- Checking customer IDs to validate proof of age in-store and when making deliveries
- Complete logs and reports of deliveries as required by law
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
Job Requirements -
Minimum experience and requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess basic knowledge of wine, beer and/or spirits
- Outgoing personality and enjoyment of sales/interacting with others
- Ability to lift 40-50lbs overhead multiple times daily and ability to climb a ladder
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Candidate must have a smartphone
- Computer and internet proficiency
- Flexible scheduling availability; hours include daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays
Preferred candidates will:
- Possess strong knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
- Have prior experience in retail sales, alcohol sales, and/or delivery experience
- Demonstrate a history of working as a team player and assisting others
- Possess a strong desire to continue to learn and expand their knowledge of wine, beer, and/or spirits
