Progressive Steps Therapy, LLC provides compassionate, high-quality services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through community-based programs. Our team is committed to improving behavioral outcomes, independence, and overall quality of life for the individuals we serve.
We are currently seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to join our team on a PRN contract basis. The Behavior Support Specialist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing behavior support plans, and providing ongoing support to individuals and care teams. This is an ongoing PRN 1099 contract position, offering flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral assessments and functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
- Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans
- Provide training and guidance to caregivers and staff on behavior strategies
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and modify plans as needed
- Document assessments, interventions, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain compliance with all professional standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Must meet qualifications as a Behavior Support Specialist in Texas, including one of the following:
- Licensed Psychologist
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) with BCBA or QBA certification
- Experience working with individuals with IDD required
- Strong knowledge of behavior intervention principles and applied behavior analysis
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation
