Hours: 36 hours per week; Monday Thursday, 8:30 am 5:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am 1:00 pm
As an Accounting Specialist, you will:

Process and analyze accounts payable, provisions, and cash receipts related to program operations in a timely and accurate manner under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Accurately and timely prepare invoices, receipts, and provisions submitted from assigned programs

Review for accurate and consistent expense account coding by verifying in respective databases

Review allocation, past due amounts, duplicate payments, approving signature, and purchase date
-
Process A/P invoices according to due date. Make timely inquiries of designated program staff for clarification of issues. Maintain files in a neat and orderly manner.

Review and process large volume monthly credit card statements/receipts

Perform various reconciliations and prepare month-end journal entries and accruals

Conduct bookkeeping training sessions for program administrative staff

Complete ad-hoc and special projects, analyses, and tasks as requested by management

Provide excellent customer service to the Central Office and program administrative staff while working together with other members of the accounting team

Maintain compliance with all CRF policies and internal controls for safekeeping of accounting records

Complete required training by established deadline

Promote professionalism, collaboration, and excellent customer service amongst staff

Education: Associate's degree including completion of Introductory Accounting course, or equivalent experience

This position is responsible for reviewing and processing weekly Accounts Payable, provisions, and cash receipts of assigned programs in a timely and accurate manner. Provides customer service to Central Office and Program administrative staff. A proven high level of confidentiality and professionalism, and a demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships with peers, department, management, and program staff, is required in this position.
Staff in this role are expected to effectively utilize working knowledge gained on-the-job and management instruction to perform the responsibilities of the position requiring limited management follow-up.
