Hours and Benefits: This is a full-time, on-site position offering an hourly rate of $22 based on experience, with an expected commitment of 40 hours per week. The work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and community events as needed to support activation activities and community engagement efforts. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
ORGANIZATIONAL/PROGRAM BACKGROUND:
Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) was established in 1994 and incorporated as a formal non-profit collaborative in 2000 to address the socio-economic conditions impacting low-income families living in the City of Los Angeles, with a focus on Westlake and surrounding communities. and expanding to Koreatown in 2024. With the mission of catalyzing partnerships to systemically address the multiple challenges facing low-income families, CCNP works with its partners to help families create pathways to financial security and economic opportunity through our FamilySource Center (FSC) program, financial asset-building programs and other signature programs.
Position Overview
Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) seeks a dynamic, community-centered Outreach Coordinator to support the implementation of the MacArthur Park Activation Initiative. The Outreach Coordinator will play a critical role in building community awareness, increasing participation, strengthening relationships with residents, and supporting positive utilization of MacArthur Park through outreach, engagement, recruitment, and activation activities. The Outreach Coordinator will work directly with families, youth, community members, Promotoras, local businesses, schools, faith-based organizations, and community partners to promote programs, services, workshops, and activation activities taking place at MacArthur Park. This position requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable working in the community, conducting door-to-door outreach, engaging diverse populations, coordinating events, and helping create welcoming spaces for residents and families.
Outreach Coordinator: will perform a broad range of duties spanning the full employment cycle, including, but not limited to providing expert counsel, support and/or monitoring of the following:
Community Outreach & Engagement
- Conduct door-to-door outreach and community canvassing throughout Westlake, Pico-Union, Koreatown, and surrounding neighborhoods.
- Build relationships with residents, families, youth, community leaders, businesses, schools, and community-based organizations.
- Promote MacArthur Park activation activities, workshops, food distributions, youth programs, and community events.
- Distribute outreach and educational materials.
- Support Promotora-led outreach and engagement efforts.
- Represent CCNP at community meetings, events, and outreach activities.
Participant Recruitment & Retention
- Recruit participants for activation activities, workshops, and community events.
- Conduct participant follow-up and engagement activities.
- Support enrollment into CCNP programs and services.
- Assist with participant registration and intake activities.
- Help develop strategies to increase recurring participation and community engagement.
Activation Support
- Assist with planning and implementation of activation activities and events.
- Support youth enrichment, family engagement, workforce development, wellness, and educational activities.
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, logistics, and participant support.
- Coordinate volunteers and community participants during activation events.
- Support community food distribution and resource activation activities.
Data Collection & Reporting
- Maintain outreach and engagement records.
- Collect participant information and activity data.
- Administer surveys and collect community feedback.
- Assist with tracking program outcomes and performance measures.
- Prepare outreach and participation reports as requested.
Partnership Development
- Assist in building relationships with schools, businesses, community organizations, and public agencies.
- Support collaborative outreach and engagement efforts.
- Participate in meetings with community partners and stakeholders as assigned.
- Additional tasks, projects and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor and executive leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong customer service and participant engagement skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills required; ability to use tact and diplomacy in communication
- The ability to read, write and speak in English and Spanish, given that many of the targeted families are monolingual in Spanish. Cultural sensitivity is required.
- Operational knowledge of the Internet and web-related technologies; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); Windows Operating System, Google Workspace, Zoom
- Ability to present in large groups
- Knowledge of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter)
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- One year of experience supporting community programs, youth programs, events, social services, education, or related activities preferred.
Other Requirements
- Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

- Must have a valid California Driver’s License, liability insurance and access to an automobile in good working conditions; and be able to drive passenger van
