We hold top provider status with Nebraska DDS. This is a consultative evaluation role only — no ongoing treatment, prescribing, or therapy involved.
The Role
We are seeking a NE Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to conduct independent mental health evaluations for disability determination purposes. This is a part-time, contract position ideal for a provider looking to supplement their income with flexible, predictable evaluation work — no call, no charting burden, no treatment planning.
What You'll Do
- Conduct structured psychiatric/mental status evaluations of claimants referred by state disability agencies
- Review relevant medical and psychiatric history provided prior to each evaluation
- Complete clear, objective, well-documented evaluation reports within required turnaround times
- Evaluate individuals in person at our Omaha office
Requirements
- Active PMHNP license in good standing in Nebraska
- Experience conducting psychiatric evaluations, assessments, or diagnostic interviews
- Comfortable working independently and producing timely, thorough documentation
- Strong clinical judgment and objectivity; no ongoing provider-patient relationship required
