Position Summary
We're looking for a Consumer Loan Servicing Associate - a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, learning new things, and helping members behind the scenes!
The Consumer Loan Servicing Associate supports consumer loans from post funding through payoff, including things like title processing, loan servicing, and member support. We're also expanding cross-training opportunities, so it's an exciting time to join the team and gain exposure to multiple areas of lending operations. In this position, you will have opportunities to learn and make an impact on our members and community.
Please note: This position is in-office at our HSFCU Headquarters in Downtown Honolulu.
Base Annual Salary Range: $18.89 - $23.32 per hour ($39,300 - $45,810 per year)
The posted range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
Essential Duties:
- Process, track, and maintain vehicle titles, title releases, and related documentation to ensure timely and accurate servicing of consumer loans.
- Respond to member, branch, dealer, and internal partner inquiries by researching issues, providing accurate information, and resolving loan servicing requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of consumer loan records and servicing data within the system of record.
- Monitor, track, and maintain insurance records with third-party vendors while ensuring loan files and servicing records remain current and accurate.
- Generate, distribute, and maintain loan correspondence, incoming mail, electronic records, and supporting documentation in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.
- Research and analyze loan servicing inquiries, provide accurate information and recommendations, and partner with senior team members to resolve complex servicing issues.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners while expanding knowledge across multiple servicing functions through cross-training and continuous learning.
- Complete assigned daily, weekly, monthly, and annual loan servicing responsibilities within established deadlines while ensuring compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide accurate and professional support to members and internal partners.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet established deadlines.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and processes.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in a credit union, financial institution, or related financial services environment.
- Experience in lending, loan servicing, loan operations, title processing, or related consumer loan functions.
- Working knowledge of DNA or similar core banking/credit union systems and document management platforms.
- Experience researching and resolving member inquiries while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
