ECC is seeking a motivated junior, senior, or graduate student (minimum 3.0 GPA) pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science to join our team at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard project site. This on-site internship offers hands-on experience supporting field operations, environmental monitoring, and project management activities on a large-scale demolition and site restoration project.

Compensation: $20–$25/hour (commensurate with experience)

Reporting to: Project Manager (with potential rotation under Site Supervisor, QC Manager, or Assistant Project Manager)

Learning Opportunities:
Interns will gain exposure to building demolition, hazardous materials abatement, large-scale trucking logistics, environmental monitoring, and site restoration paving. Participants will rotate through multiple project roles, receiving mentorship from experienced professionals and developing a well-rounded understanding of environmental construction management.
Responsibilities:

Assist field staff with air monitoring, BMP maintenance, truck coordination, and subcontractor oversight

Conduct and assist with analysis of field and laboratory data sets

Attend weekly client meetings and prepare detailed meeting minutes

Support preparation of backup documentation for invoicing

May complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response)
Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, Power BI) and Adobe Acrobat

ECC targeted hourly rate for Hunter’s Point location is $20.00 to $25.00. Pay rate offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
