Job Summary:
The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing awarded mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. This position provides continuity throughout the project lifecycle by supporting estimating, planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, quality control, and project closeout.
The Project Manager/Estimator serves as a primary point of contact for customers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Success in this position requires strong organization, attention to detail, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Essential Responsibilities:Estimating Responsibilities:
· Review project plans, specifications, bid documents, and other materials to determine project requirements.
· Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for mechanical construction projects.
· Gather pricing and project information from vendors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal team members.
· Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for completeness, accuracy, and competitiveness.
· Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, inconsistencies, or discrepancies during the estimating process.
· Review contracts and bid requirements to identify potential concerns.
· Use estimating and document management software to prepare bids and supporting documentation.
· Monitor estimated project costs and update estimates as additional information becomes available.
· Maintain accurate and organized records of estimates, bids, proposals, and related documentation.
· Support the transition of awarded projects from estimating to project execution.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Project Management Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, and manage project schedules to support key milestones and completion dates.
· Serve as a primary point of contact for owner representatives, customers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
· Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and project partners.
· Communicate project expectations, priorities, schedules, objectives, and changes to the appropriate team members.
· Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project resources.
· Review submittals for accuracy and coordinate the timely release of materials and equipment.
· Participate in project coordination meetings and communicate scheduling requirements with the BIM team and other project partners.
· Monitor project budgets, expenses, labor hours, and overall financial performance.
· Identify and address issues that may affect project schedule, cost, quality, safety, or customer satisfaction.
· Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities to support timely project completion.
· Provide regular project updates and reports to company leadership.
· Support and coach Project Engineers and other team members as appropriate.
· Complete project closeout documentation and related tasks in a timely manner.
· Coordinate equipment startup with manufacturers, vendors, and the internal service team.
· Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and company safety requirements.
· Represent Haase Mechanical Contractors professionally and uphold the Company’s standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field preferred.
· Previous experience in construction, estimating, project coordination, project management, or a related field is preferred.
· Experience level is flexible. Candidates who demonstrate initiative, dependability, strong learning ability, and the potential to grow into the position will be considered.
· Basic computer proficiency required.
· Experience with estimating or project management software, such as QuoteSoft, Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift, or Microsoft Project, is preferred.
· Ability and willingness to learn new software, systems, and processes.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt when project conditions change.
· Ability to work professionally with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, vendors, and other project partners.

· Ability to provide direction, support, and guidance to project team members as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
· Work is performed in both office and construction-site environments.
· The position may require sitting or standing for extended periods.
· Job-site visits may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, construction activity, uneven surfaces, and active equipment.
· The position requires the ability to move throughout active office and job-site environments.

Classification and Compensation
· This is a full-time, permanent, exempt position.
· A company vehicle is provided.
