American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level II trauma center in Sanford, FL, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and trauma experience on a weekend night shift schedule.

Work in a 7-suite Operating Room at an acute care hospital designated as a Level II trauma center
-
Procedures include trauma, emergency, general, ortho, urology, plastic, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, CV, and open heart surgery

Patient ratio is 1:1

PM shift staffing consists of 1 Circulator, 1 Scrub Tech, and 2 call teams; on-call support includes FA, OR Assist, Anesthesia Tech, and CVOR team

Documentation system: Meditech

Shift hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

13-week contract

Active FL or Compact RN license required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Minimum 2 years of OR experience required

Trauma experience required

US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Two professional references required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Circulator responsibilities in a high-acuity OR environment supporting a broad range of surgical specialties including open heart and trauma

Hospital scrubs are provided; candidates will change into hospital scrubs upon arrival

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position

The facility offers a full-service cardiovascular program, robotic surgery, and orthopedic and spine care services
