Position Summary
Swift Restoration & Remodeling is seeking an experienced Supervisor / Lead Mitigation Technician to join our growing mitigation team.
We are a full-service restoration company specializing in water, fire, mold, storm damage, reconstruction, and remodeling. We take pride in providing quality work, excellent communication, and dependable service to our customers during what can be a difficult time.
This position is ideal for an experienced restoration technician who is ready to take greater ownership of projects, lead technicians in the field, and help ensure our mitigation jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company and IICRC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise mitigation technicians on assigned projects
- Take ownership of day-to-day field activities and jobsite organization
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding job progress, timelines, and expectations
- Communicate job status, concerns, and changes with the Mitigation Manager
- Assist with initial job assessments and determine appropriate drying, demolition, and mitigation procedures
- Set up, monitor, adjust, and remove drying and dehumidification equipment
- Perform and document moisture readings and drying progress
- Ensure daily job notes, photos, moisture documentation, and equipment records are complete and accurate
- Perform demolition and cleanup of water-, fire-, and mold-damaged structures and materials
- Establish containment and follow appropriate safety and mitigation procedures
- Assist with moving, cleaning, protecting, and documenting contents and furnishings
- Clean affected structures and contents according to applicable IICRC standards and company procedures
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
- Help train and develop newer mitigation technicians
- Ensure company equipment, tools, and vehicles are properly used and maintained
- Identify jobsite problems early and communicate issues requiring management attention
- Support other restoration and remodeling projects as needed
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency response
Qualifications
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification required
- Previous water damage restoration experience required
- Fire and mold remediation experience strongly preferred
- Previous lead technician or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of structural drying principles, moisture documentation, and mitigation procedures
- Ability to lead technicians and maintain productivity and quality in the field
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with customers
- Must be physically capable of heavy lifting and working in a variety of environments
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check
Additional IICRC certifications are a plus.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Range: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience and certifications
- Overtime opportunities as workload requires
- Additional compensation for participation in emergency/on-call response
- Performance and compensation reviewed after 90 days
- Opportunities for continued advancement as our mitigation division grows
