Overview
Are you an energetic early bird who loves baking from scratch? We are a bread and sweets company seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Sweets Baker to join our morning production team. In this role, you will hit the ground running around 5-6 pm to prepare the fresh "goodies" our customers love—including scones, muffins, cookies, batter breads, and other items. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, working with your hands, and keeping fit on the job, this is the perfect opportunity for you! We have several locations in the Charlotte area and nationwide presence.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sweets, including cakes, pastries, confections, and other baked goods with precision and flair. We have very strict guidelines on ingredients with precise measurements and baking.
- Package finished products carefully for display or customer purchase, maintaining quality standards
- Follow food production and preparation procedures adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist with kitchen operations by handling ingredients, managing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in the food prep area
- Support catering events or special orders by customizing sweets to meet specific themes or customer requests
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with industry safety protocols and sanitation guidelines
Experience
- Previous experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience in food production or food preparation within a bakery, restaurant, or catering environment
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with baking techniques are essential for efficient work flow
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures in the food industry
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting with excellent customer service skills is preferred
