Duties
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments using RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Organize and stock merchandise on shelves or storage areas efficiently, ensuring products are accessible and well-presented for customers.
- Conduct regular inventory checks using inventory management systems to track stock levels, identify discrepancies, and assist with cycle counts.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by loading and unloading trucks, preparing items for shipment or storage, and maintaining accurate shipping records.
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products according to store standards, updating signage, and ensuring cleanliness of the stock area.
- Maintain warehouse safety standards through routine maintenance, cleaning, and organization of workspaces to prevent hazards.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product locations or availability in a friendly and professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure seamless retail store operations and inventory accuracy.
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience or retail store experience is highly preferred; familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or RF scanners is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a bonus for serving diverse customer needs.
- Knowledge of retail math principles related to stock management and sales support.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper manual handling practices.
- Demonstrated reliability with a focus on safety protocols and attention to detail in inventory management tasks.
