Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development to lead new business acquisition while managing and growing critical partnerships with major big-box retailers and eCommerce platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on both building new business and managing lasting client partnerships. As a key representative of SWCORP, you will leverage your expertise in business development and eCommerce dynamics to drive revenue growth and deliver on business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and strategic partnerships. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to close.
- Strategic Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for top-tier big-box retail and eCommerce accounts (including Home Depot, Lowe's, and Amazon), cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior executives.
- Business Reviews: Lead regular business reviews with partners, offering insights, identifying growth opportunities, and presenting actionable strategies to drive sales and profitability.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs. Conduct ongoing research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and influence business strategy.
- Deal Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate and close deals including contracts, pricing structures, and partnership agreements with a focus on top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Accounting to align account objectives with business capabilities and develop compelling go-to-market strategies.
- Promotions & Listings: Ensure product listings, inventory levels, and promotions are optimized and maintained across key retail and eCommerce platforms.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular reports on pipeline activity, revenue forecasts, account health, and business development performance to senior management.
- ERP & System Management: Utilize ERP systems (Acumatica) to monitor and maintain account health and ensure seamless operational workflows between SWCORP and partner systems.
- Brand Representation: Represent SWCORP at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand brand presence and generate new leads.
- Leadership: Step into a leadership role when needed, guiding the Key Accounts team in the absence of the Director and fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Business Development Expertise: Proven track record in business development, sales, or a related field with demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth.
- Key Account Experience: Minimum 3–4 years managing key accounts, preferably in the home improvement or durable goods industry. Experience with large big-box retailers is highly preferred.
- eCommerce Proficiency: Strong knowledge of the eCommerce landscape and backend systems, with a proven ability to manage product listings, pricing strategies, and inventory feeds.
- ERP Systems: Experience with ERP systems such as Acumatica, along with familiarity navigating retailer vendor portals.
- Relationship Management: Demonstrated success building and maintaining strong relationships with senior executives, buyers, and category managers within large retail accounts.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently present to and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic Mindset: A proactive thinker who can anticipate client needs, market shifts, and competitive threats and respond with actionable strategies.
- Results-Oriented: A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets with a focus on driving both revenue and profitability.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Miami, FL 33142
