Dansville Animal Hospital is actively hiring a Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, and excited to learn and grow with us. We are expanding and strengthening our team in the new year and are ready to bring the right candidate on board right away.
What You’ll Do
Client Service & Front Desk Support
- Serve as the welcoming face and voice of the hospital for clients and patients
- Handle phone calls, scheduling, check-ins, emails, and client communication
- Process invoices and payments accurately
- Assist with prescription refills and client questions under veterinary guidance
- Help educate clients on basic wellness care and hospital services
Patient Care & Veterinary Assistance
- Assist doctors and technicians with patient handling, restraint, and exam prep
- Prepare lab samples and assist with treatments and vaccines as directed
- Support care for hospitalized and surgical patients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
- Assist with grooming services including bathing, drying, and pet restraint
What We’re Looking For
- Veterinary experience preferred (reception, assistant, or technician background a plus)
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Positive attitude with a team-first mindset
- Willingness to learn, be coached, and grow within the practice
- Ability to work 8–10 hour shifts, Monday–Friday
- Reliable transportation to Dansville, NY
